I'm noticing a number of litters on another well-known website, being advertised as 'not KC registered because we want good loving homes'.   Is this just an excuse and fact is father/mother are not KC registered so their offspring can't be registered!!   KC Registered puppies also need 'good loving homes'.

Also why the almost blanket use these days of the word 'stunning' when describing a litter.    I'd not expect a puppy to stun, in the true meaning of the word!!    I have a feeling this is just like the expression 'to die for'.

The implication is that KC Reg puppies don't go to loving homes, which I feel, is leaning towards libel.

I feel tempted to email the people advertising like this.... but I've made myself rather unpopular with some over there producing my main breed Xs!!!   So perhaps not eh.

As you say they likley can't kc register them (one or both parents not registered, not actualy purebred, inbred litter, dam too young or old or had too many litters, or parents are endorsed) or just don't want to pay out for it to save some money.

Many pet people think show people are horrible and only care about winning rossetts and we all dump our dogs if they don't win. So that excuse for not registering means the gualable people out there will asume this rather than asking the real reason the pups are not registered.

You also get "don't want shoe or breeding homes so not registered" and the ones who charge a huge extra fee if you want the puppy registered like an extra £500 on top of the puppies price to put people off wanting it done but making them think it could be done.

Ah go on, Mamabas, do email them and let us know the reaction.

I've noticed too how every pup is stunning these days

Which gives the buyers a perfect excuse TO breed, as after all they don't need KC registration for pets......And no permission needed to breed from an unregistered dog.

Yep, as after all look at the amount of people who buy from unregistered or in health tested parents because the 'just wanted a pet' I once saw an add for a breeder who gave the big list of breed recommended health testing that they didn't do because they breed just pets not show dogs. I Guess to people like them a pet is not as important if it's as healthy as possible.

These words can also be used by people who want to breed more litters than the KC maximum either in-between registered litters or after the quota and no-one can check up on how many they breed or how old the bitch is because they are not registered, I also heard on someone who was registering an "extra" bitch puppy in a litter and using it's name to double the number of litters from one bitch.
