What's your view on breeding more than one breed? I know it's  synonymous  with backyard breeders who tend to have many breeds but do many reputable breeders breed more than one or two breeds?

There are certainly very wellknown top breeders in the show world that have several breeds. My personal opinion would be that it would be hard for anyone to do justice to more than two breeds. Certainly a lot of good breeders have two breeds. Edited to say: I meant that few have the resources that the breeders at the very top do, not implying they are not responsible.

It's not synonymous with backyard breeders. Plenty of reputable breeders breed two different breeds. I don't personally know any who breed more than that, but it's not the number of breeds to me over the ability to do things as they should be done. I would think that more than two breeds would be a struggle in that way if both breeds are actively bred, but if you can do it properly and you know your stuff, fine.

I would imagine there are a good number of 'reputable breeders' who do breed more than 1 or 2 breeds especially like for example, the husband likes Rottweiler's, the wife prefers poodle's, and they may have a son who prefers a Spaniel.

You may also have 1 person (breeder) who genuinely likes a few different breeds and has built up a 'good reputation' for breeding his/her chosen breeds (improving these breeds and doing the relevant health tests etc etc).
