I have bought 2 heat pads one a Warwick and one that looks like it's come from China. I have tried them both out and expected them to be a similar heat to an electric blanket - both just feel very slightly warm, sort of like a tepid hot water bottle - is this right?

I borrowed one from a friend and just like you it was luke warm but if you keep your hand on it long enough it will feel warmer. She's used hers for years and I didn't have any issues with it, worked well.

Thanks - thought they must be ok with both being same temp - just don't feel warm enough to warm puppies. Mind if I have a hot water bottle I like it to be really hot!!!

If puppies (newborns) get too HOT, they are miserable!  I've overdone it on occasion and was amazed!  So luke warm is probably spot on.

the correct temperature is reached according to the weight of pups.

I have always used Petnap, wouldn't touch anything else.
