A friend had her dog chipped afer a couple of weeks the dog is moving his head on resting ,going from side to side ,does anybody know of this happening after chip has been done ,to me seems like the chip is either dislodged or resting on a nerve xx

I would.get it checked for both points althougg uts going to be hard proving it's the chip  It's rare to  have problems after chipping but it can happen .If vets don't reveal anything I woudl.try a Mctimony chiropractor  and see what they say. If it does turn out to be tje chip amd I hope it can be resolved  please report to chipping company

I would be very surprised if the problem is anything to do with the chip, they should be inserted under the skin and the force needed to have an impact on nerves or spine would be considerable, anything is possible however so check it to be sure

Like mixedpack says, chips are inserted into the 'space' under the skin and before reaching anything below that - the subcutaneous area.  There are no nerves or anything risky in that area, so I don't think it would be the chip.  Head nodding can be a sign of lots of things, including something neurological, so definitely worth a vet visit.
