Topic Dog Boards / Health / the best carpal support for my dog?
- By HDgroom [gb] Date 24.04.16 21:26 UTC
Hi. I'm wondering what the best carpal support would be for my dog. He hyper extends due to severe muscle waste. Any advice on sizes would be helpful too. He is a large working sheepdog. TIA.

That's me and in case anyone ever searches for this the best support I found is the therapaw carpo flex-x support.

There are wrist supports/protectors  I've seen for flyball/agility dogs they also say they are good for joint problems.

I've got a set of wrist protectors with support for my girl and know a bigger dog who has a set of these. They say they made them originally for their own dog with joint damage and they have been used for collapsed carpel syndrome. Mine were £12 for a pair made to measure.

Another design

Probably not as much support though as the ones posted above which sound great.
