If a male dog is not neutered and is around a bitch in heat, will he mark places in the home due to the bitch being in heat? Also, after the bitch is out of heat, will the male continue to mark or will it stop? Is there anything that can be done to stop him from doing this? Yes, he is going to be neutered and she will be spayed. Thanks for any replies.

None of my male have ever marked in thou house when I have had a bitch in season, but a friend of mine has and I'm glad to say after his bitch was spayed the marking stopped.

I've known some who do and some who don’t! A terrier which is used for stud is a real pain at Ringcraft, marking walls, tables in fact any and every vertical surface!

Others, including a stud dog belonging to a friend would no more think of "Going" indoors than flying!
