Topic Dog Boards / Showing / Showing Corgi for the First Time

Hello! I will be showing my 10 month old pembroke welsh corgi female for the first time in 3 weeks. This will be the first time for her and the first time for me. How short should I cut her toenails (I'm pretty scared of quipping her)? Also, her front legs are a little longer than the breed standard. Is this something that I should worry about in conformation classes at such a young age? Are there any special insider tips for getting her coat nice and shiny?
I would love (and very much appreciate) any tips that anyone can give me!
Thanks so much

Hi there - I hope you got some help with your query; sorry I couldn't help as not a shower although I have a male Pem of the same age - born end of May 2002. I was wondering how you got on with the showing anyway??
Re getting the coat shiny - I saw copious amounts of hairspray at Crufts but got the impression that a healthy coat is always going to show through the best. The long term advice I would give is to feed Nature Diet and/or Burns - our dog looks great on this; colour and texture are amazing.
