It is disappointing that Clare Balding has to be on it as she has no idea on breeds of dogs.  She spoilt last nights programme with her ignorance.

It really bugs me that people criticise the tv coverage of Crufts. It's the one and only dog show on main stream telly and I just think we should be grateful for what we get and not be so up ourselves. We can be a pompous po faced lot about other peoples lack of knowledge of "our" world. I love the Crufts tv coverage. :)

Me too!!   Didn't she have a Tibetan Terrier?   Her mum did breed Boxers but even if she can 'present' all that gushing over her visitors drives me nuts.

Hasn't Peter Purvis aged of late.  But I guess we all do!

I've only watched the Gundogs this year (TV) but I guess I'll be tuned in tonight (hounds).

@ groveclydpoint... from the Saint Bernard Breed Standard -

Coat

Roughs: dense and flat, rather fuller round neck, thighs and tail well feathered.

Smooths: close and hound-like, slight feathering on thighs and tail.

I do love her enthusiasm, but might have hoped she'd have learned a little bit about Crufts and dogs in general after doing the programme for several years. However she is 100% better than most of the idiots we've had in the past!!
