With the big night looming, I thought a fresh post was needed. The petition is still going and currently sits at over 68,000 signatures!

My idea has already been done/is being done, here:

FAB (Fireworks Abatement) group on FB - https://www.facebook.com/groups/1678845005694982/

Can I ask anyone willing to video their pets for a short period or take photos as evidence of the distress/damage fireworks cause tonight (not at the cost of their welfare, of course), or other family members or animals, could you please then go here:

Fireworks Damage (community on FB linked to FAB) - https://www.facebook.com/FireworkDamage/?fref=ts

And post it. Thank you. Same for anything we all find tomorrow morning - litter left behind by fireworks, any damage etc. It all helps.

Thank you, and good luck for tonight! We're all gearing up here, got the meds at the ready and I've got little Jolly overnight as her mum doesn't stay up past 10 so she's staying for the annual Hootenanny

Just to add, the link to the petition is on the FAB group's page under 'About' - it's the second link.

Saw a piece somewhere yesterday that Arnsberg in Germany has banned fireworks in refugee camps and asked other residents not let them off ' townspeople consider not launching any fireworks "to avoid reawakening memories in people who have fled war and conflict of the horrors that threatened them".

Sorry but they can understand what and where the noise comes from. ANIMALS CAN'T

The fireworks started going off here at 5pm but I am hoping it doesn't rain so the fireworks are used up tonight when I am prepared for them (but wasn't prepared for the early start). If it rains people will be setting them off any old night so would rather have the majority of them over and done with tonight Having a dog petrified of fireworks I now just want it to be over and done with.

I have already sent photos to Nikita of the damage caused by my terrified dog

There is an alternative so we should campaign for banning the noisy ones:
