Disappointing as it is, they switch to their wheeled vehicles.
My friend is rather sad that she is packing her rig whilst in a T shirt.

Yes I know they use the wheeled rigs, Been to watch a few times as they have a meet in Thetford Forest which is not far away, I think they cut the distance for some races when it is so warm to protect the dogs, Just hope it doesn't end up as mud-racing.
Main memory is the NOISE, a hyped up team of 6 or 8 dogs on the start line (and quick release tethered to a tree or a land rover) and all of them screaming full blast with excitement !!!

Big problem is lack of training  because of such high temps. Getting up earlier and earlier isn't working

Yes, these current temperatures are CRAZY.   I felt so hot yesterday that I changed into a short sleeved T.   In mid-December???   And we got a cut on the front yesterday too.   I daren't touch the back even if it needs it - if I cut it short(er) it's going to turn into a mud-patch.  It's not far off now.

The good news is our central heating hasn't been on much so our gas bill should be down, so far.   Much as I have to put it on for a bit, to get rid of the all-pervading damp down here!!
