I complain about what a vet charges but in comparison to nhs dentists they are reasonable. I don't know how much my crown will cost as I don't understand the bands quoted but I think I shall have to get out the begging bowl.
crown is £222 which I know as I am due one in January much to my horror. not a great time of year to find cash but having a broken tooth no choice. and it seems a hell of a lot of money to me considering how everyone bangs on about nhs being free at point of contact
That's what I mean. I took £51.30 with me expecting a filling but £222 is taking the rise. I can remember when you got free dental treatment and free national health glasses.
Dental and optical treatment has been something we pay for a long while now .I guess with everything else that the nhs covers something to guve.i have simply health policy which covers most of my dental bills in a year
I had to find a NHS dentist recently (pain from an infected tooth) after years of not going and when I did, having to go private. I was lucky enough to find a NHS dentist reasonably nearby who was able to see me the following day. So yes, I am more than happy not to be paying private prices now.
