My pups are 12 days old today all ok so far this morning one is having yellow diarrhea. Between soft & then it practically sprayed out. Why is this? I'm waiting on my vet calling me back but I'm really worried.

Hope you got on ok with vet..... My own pups have always had yellow stools at that age due to the milk, not unusual to see seed like bits in it either. They can be a bit loose if they have over indulged and drip some loose stool at the end with a bit of straining.... This normally settles once they start solids.

If they are literally squirting it out as liquid then I would get them checked so you don't risk dehydration

Hi thanks for replying.

Vet said to keep an eye this afternoon. So far there's been no more. What's the best time to add some solids 4 wks?

I usually start at 3 weeks..... Slightly earlier if a large litter. Just one meal a day then building up to four meals a day.

Glad things are ok tonight.

I start at 18 days offering a teaspoonful one day then two the next and three then four, and then continue with 4 times a day to appetite.

You might try putting Mum on a gluten-free diet.  Add a little sweet potato.
