Looks very good hardly any loss then gaining steadily.  You will find the rate of weight gain increases, and when it starts to level off is the time to introduce weaning foods.

Ok that's good to hear thank you!

All going well apart from my girl plonking herself into her box and sitting on one

Is it ok that once fed and sleeping my girl likes to sit outside the box? On floor or come up on the chair with me. As soon as they squeak she's right over but just want to hear this is normal. Also at night she goes on a digging rampage! About 3am this morning she was in my wardrobe!

Very normal for her to want to out of the box when not feeding them...... She will know when they are due for a feed by how full she is feeling as well as their squeaks.

I find the digging goes on for a couple of weeks on and off...... Just her reaction to the discomfort of afterpains

I try to encourage my girls to be with their babies as much as possible in the first 2 weeks. Your whelping box/ room temperature isn't too hot is it?
Some young mums can get a bit slovenly....

I don't feel like it's too hot. She's been in & fed & cleaned them.. They fall asleep & she jumps out to the floor or on my knee. She always would lie on the chairs with us before. Always needs to be close.

For the first week we could not get Frankie out of the box at all, really struggled to get her to go to the toilet etc but the past couple of days she gets in to feed them then leaves them sleeping, a lot better in herself for it. She seems a bit like yours, always wants to be close!! So she is cuddled up on the sofa with me most of the time but will jump in as soon as one starts sqweeking!

We're on day 10 and the past few days Hetty has taken to lying at the other side of the box or on the sofa cushion by the box that I sit on, if I'm not on it already! If I take a puppy out to weigh him or whatever she's straight over to find out what I'm doing though. :-)

Oh that's a relief but I'm only on day 5. Guess that's just her. She's the same when I pick up the pups to weigh she's right over
