Topic Dog Boards / Showing / Ringcraft classes in Cambridge/Huntingdon/Peterborough , etc
- By Eugenia [gb] Date 18.10.15 08:19 UTC
Hi all,

I am looking for ring craft classes for a toy breed dog around Cambridge, Huntingdon, Peterborough, St.Ives.
I live in South Cambs. I will consider any place we can get to in an hour or so, and also ready to consider Bedford, if there are ring craft classes.

Please, let me know if anyone knows of anything like this.

Thank you

If it's not too far, there used to be a good Ringcraft class in Newmarket when we lived up there.   You may, however, have to do what we did and settle for an obedience class (we went to one based in Saffron Walden) with the proviso that they accepted we wanted Ringcraft so would let us stack and 'go over' our hounds.   It was really more about providing youngsters with a kind-of show situation, a room full of other dogs, than out and out Ringcraft which you can do at home in terms of getting the dog to move well - and it helps to stack the dog in front of a full-length mirror, so you can see what the judge sees.   If you have any table, preferably a proper grooming table of course, you can stand it in front of a mirror.

There you go - if Kirtling isn't too far?   They used to be in town, but obviously lost that venue, as so often happens.

This is the one we used to go to.
