Hi all, I'm really confused by girls temp charting. Day 54 it hovered around 37.2-4. Day 55 it was 37.0 all morning, dropped to 36.8 in the afternoon then by 7pm up to 37.7 and down to 37.5. Day 56 she seemed to have quite a noisy poorly tummy, a few bouts of diarrhoea and sickness (white froth). Back to normal by 10.30am with a steady temp all morning of 37.3/4. At 2pm it had dropped to 36.9. 5pm 36.5. By 7.30pm it was 37.3 and again that at 10pm. Day 57 it started at 37.0 rising to 37.3 during the course of the morning down to 37.0 @ 3.30 but back to 37.4/5 throuout the evening. The night of day 56 she slept soundly/heavily in her whelping box although had a small www in the kitchen overnight. Last night she slept fitfully, going to a different place to sleep every hour or so, from the settee to the floor and came and stood beside me at one point. Today day 58 her temp has been 37.3 at 6.30am 36.8 at 9am and 37.1 at 10am. She's eaten very little over the last 2 days and had frequent (4-5) small loose stools. I might add, she has no prob whatsoever with my taking her temp but would really, really appreciate done insight into what experienced breeders think. Thank you

To add to all this info, she's been losing stringy discharge for about a week and the morning she had the upset tummy u went to examine the faeces and there was a small lump of clear jelly(not smelly) and not entirely sure which hole it came from

Unfortunately don't think temperature taking is going to be particularly useful for you since your bitch has dipped so low a few times.

She certainly sounds as if she doesn't have long to go, although at 58 days there's still no panic.

Any full on panting and digging? Have you noticed any contractions. The first contractions you'll usually notice will be when she's sitting about then jumps a little as if a bee has stung her bum and shifts position. This will happen a few times then after a while she gets big full contractions with her tail lifting right up (hopefully).

No panting, and very brief digging. Extremely restless through the night and not eating very much at all. Pups all moving well. She has this last few days been alternating between losing stringy clear mucous to creamy discharge. To be fair I'm a little baffled and I guess a tad impatient. Twice through the night she did wake me with what sounded like panting/short snorts but then just snoring again, which she does. Her breathing seems a tad laboured at times (not too unusual with breed) omitting small sighs. I guess I'm just overthinking every small thing
