My girl is on day 30 form her first mating. This was her first season for 18 months. Took her to the vet for a scan this morning. His first reaction was negative, however he did say that her uterus was "lumpy" and then said she could have pyometra. Worried sick, have to take her back next week for another scan. No symptoms of pyometra. She is eating well, very active and looks fantastic.
You'd hope pups would show on a scan by now but I'm not sure about pyo. She has a normal temperature and isn't drinking and weeing excessively? Are you sure she is 30 days or is it possible she ovulated early?
The fact that she didn't have a season for 18 months make me wonder if she has fibroids or something else in her uterus, do you know why she is missing seasons or is this normal for your breed?

Her mum was a nightmare with season, 8 months, 10 months but has now regulated so hoping she will be the same. She has had 1 litter and I kept a boy for showing. Time will tell ....fingers crossed.
