Hello,
We are looking for a puppy and hope to find one around April 2003. We
would like a red/golden Cocker Spaniel, we do not intend to show our dog we
really just want a pet. And after time spent studying the various breeds,
and the commitment in taking on a dog we have decided on a Cocker Spaniel.
Please can you let us know if you may be able to help.
Kind regards
Mrs C Cooper

Claire - 8 weeks is about right for a Cocker puppy - no younger though, other than maybe a day or two at most
good luck in your search - do be prepared to wait for the right one. Good breeders often have waiting lists - this is a good sign - those that have puppies on demand may need a closer look - but even so they may still be good - having had back word or something like. Gold's are popular and it is vital that your puppy comes from a good background or you run a high risk of having trouble in store for the future. At all costs avoid anywhere that has several breeds of dog available and is not interested in you or the home you have to offer. they are usually puppy farms.
