Hi we've moved house and I think there is fleas,as my dogs have started scratching.
What is the best stuff to blitz the house, and dogs,I use Frontline but not convinced that it works every time.
Thanks

Hi We had a case of fleas 2 years back. We used a room spray and for the lounge a flea smoke bomb.  We did the room again a few days after to make sure we had caught the eggs hatching. We had no further problems.

We took in a rescue cat and she brought us fleas, after years of not having ever had one.
We spent over £100 on useless products from the pet shop and even one from the vets. The one that worked for us was indorex house spray and I will always keep 2 cans in now just incase. It is worth ordering online and paying for fast delivery rather than waste money on other useless products.
I used to use frontline and thought it worked but when the dogs caught fleas from the cat I bought advantage and haven't used anything else since, it really is good.

In many places, Frontline is now doing absolutely b*gger all.  I'm in one of those places but Advocate and co are still working nicely, as is the new bravecto pill.

Advocate and co actually do the house too - the chemical is shed in the environment so beds etc, anywhere the dog lays, will be protected also (at least according to the manufacturer).  I've never actually had to do the house while using it (I use the Advantage version) - I did do it once out of desperation because I just could not shift the fleas but that turned out to be because my then neighbours has a houseful of flea infested cats and dogs so any time I got mine clear, they were getting re-infested.  When the a-holes finally left, the council had to flea bomb the house three times to get rid of the fleas!

Since then my guys have picked them up from grooming dogs twice and the Advantage has done the trick right away.

We have used Acclaim in the past but primarily as preventative to avoid doing the dogs.

It is another like Indorex with an insect growth regulator preventing the flea eggs from hatching for up to 6 months/year, and initially killing adult fleas too.

Used it for many many years, as I used to have cats. Much easier to keep on top of fleas as they can't breed. It also deals with house dust mites (which is why you can buy it in Boots the Chemist, as allergy sufferers use it).

Same here.  I've even done the caravan with it.
