Bearing in mind the shortage of funding for Police, NHS, Military & Veterans, Housing etc, etc I find this unbelievable. China have the 2nd biggest economy worldwide, can afford a huge army, space programme etc WHY are WE (UK) funding this!!!

I understand your concern, but there is more to 'funding' than just the funding.   Sometimes it's more about 'goodwill'??   What else might bring us benefits by doing this........
