So Freya went to rainbow bridge over 6 weeks ago (although she's now sat in our lounge on the shelf keeping watch on us now) and Molly is lonely and we miss having a 2nd dog (although I love that Molly is such a mummies girl again). So looking forward to the future and bringing another furry baby into our home I have just thought about re homing another Ckcs from rescue. Has anyone any experience with this? Would they let us, 2 adults, an 8yr old and 5 yr old boys and a 12 yr old Ckcs have one? I know the time needs to be right but I like to think things over properly first.
Thanks
Edited to say we had always planned to add to our fur brood next year before we lost Freya and part of me is wondering whether an older dog instead of a puppy might be better for Molly as her happiness needs to be before ours

Each rescue has different rules some more open than others. Past experience should count for a lot I would hope

Look at the rescued CKCS in Many Tears Rescue ....you sound the ideal adopter.
Experienced owners with an existing Cavalier to pal up with and show the ropes to a bewildered little soul (who has never has a caring owner) sounds ideal to me.
Thanks. The more I think about it the more I think it would be good all round. Yes I wouldn't get the cute puppy stage but we could give a great forever home to a Ckcs that just needs to be loved. I think I may contact the Ckcs rescue charity.
Just seen owl on there. She is adorable. Such heartbreaking stories behind them

I don't think I'd ever dare look on there... I'd want to rescue them all! :-(
