Hi everyone I now own my first ever male rottie pup,i got my bitch at 12 weeks and she was a brilliant pup to bring up,I never had any problems with chewing and the breader had done a brilliant job in those first 12 weeks
Recently I took a poorly treated puppy from a drug taking idiot because he was in no way fit enough to own this puppy, the pup had also been taken away from the mother at 4 weeks old ,I'm really worried about the fact that he only had his mum for the first 4 weeks of his life,if anyone has any tips then please get in touch,he is now 7 weeks old and he's a big boy but he has a serious attitude already and he's chewing everything and I really want to stop the mouthing ASAP cheers,Carl

You need to get him socialised with other well adjusted canines so he learns how to be a dog and some boundaries, but won't be hurt by dogs unused to pups.
He is only just now the age to come away from Mum at the earliest.
Puppies learn bite inhibition from their littermates and mother. it is important that they do bite and leanr how to do so gently and eventually stop.

Thankyou for getting in touch,my bitch is a 4 year old and the first day I brought him home my bitch nipped him on the nose, since then they have slowly bonded and now they can be in and eat in the same room but that's where it ends so far.....I'm hoping my bitch will start to take on some of the motherhood jobs and help him in his growing up
Il be studying things closely and I will also study the tips on the link you sent me
Thanks again
