any opions should i have dogs name and telephone no or nama and adress onhis collar tag?

We have had this discussion before on CD . I think by law there should be a name and address but due to dog thieves I know some people are reluctant to have an address and prefer home telephone number and maybe vets phone number as well .

I've always been advised to have dogs name & a contact telephone number, that way no chance of unwanted visitors!!! This system worked very well when my nosey Cocker decided to go on walkabout whilst at my parents. (Which meant my husband who was supposed to be looking after her wasn't in the dog house for quite as long as he could of been!!!)
