Has anyone had any experience with one of these?

When I went to a canine reproduction seminar by an eminent repro vet she stated these were for use in cattle and were of no real use in dogs, any more than just guessing the right day.

I have one... its for sale if you want it ;-).. never been much good to me !
I use one but it is useful only as one indicator. Having said that apart from one bitch years ago that obviously had a problem and never took over 3 seasons I have never missed.
But of course that may have been the same anyway. It is just another tool.
I don't blood test because I did for the said bitch and it was useless information I now realise ( said 9 days to go to stud and have now never successfully mated before 15 days) and never use IDex.

Could never get on with it and to be honest I had no faith in it or my ability to get it in the right place. I also think it is somewhat invasive. My girls are happy with the vet taking bloods so it is not a problem to do. And I know the results are correct.

I know some people who swear by them, but personally I found it a waste of money and sold mine after a few uses! I think it would be easier to use on large breeds but it's very tricky for small low to ground ones, even having them stood on a table, due to the angle it has to be inserted at, and it has to be inserted quite a long way!!!!
I went back to blood testing and find that way more accurate.
I'm on about the pregnancy detector x
