My bitch is currently on day 62 and shows no signs of going into labour. I was really lovely and took her to the vet the vet said she was a little dilated and he believed she would have them that evening otherwise bring her back to him and he will perform a c section but low and behold....nothing! All she done was eat and sleep the puppies are still moving!! I really don't want her to have a c section what do you guys think do you think I should wait Til Monday when she will be day 65?
Need help!?!?!

If she is settled and puppies are active I would be keeping a watchful eye, worry but probably not panic. do you know when she ovulated by using serum progesterone ? IF not she may not be truly overdue as she many have conceived days after mating as many bitches will stand just before or at time of ovulation but cannot conceive for a further 2-5 days depending on how earły the mating took place.

Reverse progesterone testing can be useful - over weekend you would need to use in house pre mate kits which are not as accurate but better than nothing, progesterone falls to 5ng ( ovulation levels ) about 24 hrs before labour starts and if lower than 2ng the butch should be in active labour - if not C section indicated
