Anyone given Nisamox to a pregnant bitch?

Long story  short. Bitch is on day 29 of season....bred day 14 16 18 no bloods done, this was on the willing of both dogs. She is bleeding heavily. Vet scanned her and said something  is going on....start of pregnancy or pyometra. 

Gave these tablets. He said many breeders give these before mating and one week after.
