Does anyone know if a dog has had a severe anaphylactic shock reaction to a snake bite, are they at serious risk of another extreme reaction if it happens again or will they have developed an immunity?  It is a young dog, almost a year old , weight about 28kg. Thanks.

if it's like with bee stings etc, it's worse next time.

Its certainly possible as with people often reactions can get worse the more the trigger happens.
I would be concerned and it may be a good idea to have some sort of Epi-pen on hand in case of emergencies.
Hope everything is ok with the gang G Rets ?

Hope if it is your dog she's ok.. I would be asking for an epi pen from the vets if she's reacted this way from a bite x

Thank you all. My lot are all fine. It was a friend's dog. I will pass on the epi pen advice.

My friends springer, got bitten on two separate occasions.
He reacted quite badly the first time. The second time was fatal  No one warned him that the dog may be worse if bitten again.

I didn't want to say this in my post, but this is very likely with anaphylaxis.
