How does that work Brainless? What would you add to the milk to make it semi solid?

> only 3 weeks old but I loved him

Totally understand the rambling so no worries.  I have a breed that doesn't leave home until 12 weeks.  All pups were thriving and doing well.  One girl was particularly tiny.  Although I was keeping a bitch from the litter I decided to keep tiny tot but not for breeding.  I just didn't want her to end up as a handbag dog.

Little Peanut suddenly went downhill and ended up in hospital.  After a week (they let me go and sit with her for hours every day) I could see that she was not going to improve.  I collected her at lunchtime and took her to bed with me.  I spent a couple of hours just loving her before taking her to be given peace.  I wrapped her up in my jacket and she was brought home to be buried wrapped warm in my jacket.  She was 10 weeks old and I loved her so much.  After losing little Peanut I have never mated a bitch up since.  Too much heartbreak.

Oh Jean...that is such a sad story  It's so familiar you mention taking her to bed with you...that is what I did with my 'tiny Tim' ...just so he felt secure and warm..it did seem to comfort him.

Alfiesmum....thinking of you and hope from now on things get a lot easier for you...breeding is such a worry even when things seem to be going ok. I hope you can start enjoying your litter soon x
