Very weird happening (at least I think it is!) Nutka's pups are just six weeks old, and still nicking a bit of milk given the opportunity. Nutka appears to have come in season - never ever had this before - the boys have been sniffing round her for a few days. Not exactly worried, but a bit of a nuisance....

I suppose about 4 months since she last ovulated......

Are you sure it's not a UTI (I know you are experienced but they are sometimes overlooked). Just thinking that with all of the lochia etc over the last few weeks, she is quite susceptible to a UTI. They normally make the boys interested too

Might be worth getting it checked out actually - she had retained placentae after she whelped, so maybe a possibility.

I would find it quite normal for a btich to still have some bleeding 6 weeks after having had pups.

My girl still has some (perfectly healthy) discharge now 10 weeks after her litter, I have certainly had spotting up to three months.

Bit odd that she's been quite clean and tight up until now, and is now swollen and obviously bleeding....
