I have been looking at my dogs pedigrees and have looked online.

My male dog has Balrion Man of The Moment in his pedigree amoung lots of diff Balrion lines.
I found Man Of The Moment online, he is an American dog! He is my dogs grandfather. How could he be in my dogs pedigree when my dog was bred in the UK?

In Honeys pedigree there is a grandfather named Shinsail Apache I also found him online too.

Of course there are lots of other names in there and i'm having a great time looking them all up.

Lots of FTW & FTCH and also SH? What's SH?

It's facinating!

Wow!

Thanks for that info, it makes it much clearer to me now!

Well I looked at dogs from their line and I now understand why my Lab Clifford is such a deep fox-red!

Some of the Balrion dogs were a very deep red, which I hadn't seen before.

Good that you're taking an interest , Andrea - in flatcoats we look at pedigrees for months and months before we decide on a mating to see which stud dogs suit our bitch best, and as you say, it's completely addictive. Some matings are known to be disastrous, so we steer well clear of these.
