I have a bitch who has been mated and is approximately 3 weeks from ovulation.  She has been eating like a horse up until this morning when she was sick.  She has been sick again this afternoon and is now looking very uncomfortable, refusing her tea this evening too.  This morning was just froth (she happily ate her breakfast), this afternoon was partially digested food and sheep poo (!).  She had an opaque discharge at approximately 12 days which has since changed to clear, no smell at any time in the last 3 weeks.  She is also weeing a little more often but her mum also did that when she was pregnant. My question is, have any of you had girls who look uncomfortable around the vomiting stage or could I be looking at pyometra?  My other girls usually just look a little "peaky" when offered food or when they are about to vomit but otherwise just carry on as normal.

This is the attachment stage and the hormones produced cause morning sickness.

Thanks Brainless, she's certainly feeling sicker than I've seen before so thanks for the reassurance.

Yes, I've had this in bitches before ....quiet and clearly queasy and the sheep poo probably won't help, bless her. The discharge is clear and non smelly and if she had a closed pyo she would be a very poorly girl very quickly. I would take her symptoms as  a good sign
