Really needs some help. I have at present a Grand Tourneo Connect it has so many manufacturing faults it is going back but the problem is I will be carless the middle of next week and where I live will not be able to take my aussies out go shopping or doctors etc. I desperately need a replacement. The Ford garage are not prepared to order me a new one and let me keep this one until it arrives I just don't know what to do. If they had taken it back at the beginning I would have been able to have my part exchange back.

Because it's manufacturing faults have you asked if you would be able to hire a vehicle on the mean time and they would pay the bill? After all it's not your fault it's breaking down and they can't just leave you with out a vehicle! :(

They just want to give me my money back which is good but cannot do without a vehicle as live on a main arterial. They are not prepared to order a new one which take 12weeks to come and leave this one with me until it arrives even thought I cannot use one of the sliding doors and a pipe keeps coming of and other things but I can get from A to B at present. It also looks like the other sliding door is going but at least I could open the rear door.
I would get in touch with Trading standards to see what your rights are.

The fastest way out is to accept a full refund. And hire a car or van for a few days.

I think you might be right Jean but I was also hoping for some feedback as what others have that they are pleased with.

Is this the latest model tourneo connect? I have a 2007 diesel one and love it!! Have owned it from 2 years old, it belonged to a Ford main dealership before I bought it.
Must admit I'm not impressed by the latest ones and when I'm in a position to trade up will be looking at the VW caddy or the Skoda Yeti. I also like the Hyundai 800i as toying with the idea of going back to a people carrier.
Have you thought about buying an ex demo next so you don't have to wait weeks for delivery?

Are they not prepared to let you have a courtesy car? That's pretty shabby and frankly I think I'd be looking for a short-term loan so you can buy another (ELSEWHERE!) while you get all this sorted out. I think you need Dom Littlewood!

I have enquired about an ex-demo Caddy maxi life waiting to hear price and they are expensive. Yes this is the latest Long wheel base touneo would not recommend it to anyone. I am disgusted with Ford attitude as well never brought a Ford and never will again. And to the other question NO they are not prepared to let me have a courtesy car just take this back and leave me in the stranded so to speak. I suppose I ought to be grateful they are prepared to give me a complete refund or so they say.

Sorry a bit jumbled as just got back with dogs I hope you can make sense of what I wrote.

Ooh nice.

It may not be anything you would be wanting, but I traded in my low-mileage Peugeot 207 SW in August 2013 and bought a new Peugeot 2008 x-over. Love it. We do a very low mileage these days, so whoever buys it, eventually (I think this one will have to see me through

), will be getting a bargooon.
