Hi i would really like your opinion. My bitch was mated on the 11th 13th and 15th of april. We took her for a scan yesterday as she was showing all the signs. swollen vulva, some cream discharge very enlarged nipples following me everywhere. When we took her she had only just had her breakfast so she was very full. when they did the scan they couldn't see anything apart from allot of stools and her bladder. Reading up on it they shouldn't eat for 12 hours before this we were not told. Could she be pregnant still and i should get her re scanned or is she having a phantom pregnancy???

My girl was scanned and I made sure she had an empty bladder before hand, not heard about the not eating, normally that's if being put under general anaesthetic for a scan.
If the scanner does a free rescan then yes I would go for that in case she took ok the last among as she would have been less than 4 weeks at time of scan.
Is the scanner experienced?

Im not to sure if she is experienced but as she's at the vets I'm assuming so.

Often it's the vets who are least good at scanning.

There are lots of mobile scanners about who are very experienced. Unless the scanner at the vets does scanning as a daily occur acne whether pregnancy or other matters then I'd be looking for someone locally who will travel to you. Either way get your free rescan
