Can this still be given successfully 36 hours after mating ? Reading lots of conflicting things, asap or 7-10 after mating then 2 weeks or 10 days before due date. First time using the vaccine and maiden bitch

Yes it can, we had a bit of a mix up last time I tried and we spoke to the vaccine company who advised that it's still ok to give up to 4 weeks post mating. The norm is 7-10 days post mating, I have my girl this a few days into her season as advised by repro vet
I have this done in first week after mating on vet advice. I always thought it was designed to protect the pups in the womb once they are attached as prior to that they are free floating.
I can easily be stood corrected though! The 2nd I have 7-10 days before birth which is not so easy as you don't know the precise delivery date.

I've just ordered one from my vet who had never been asked for it before (junior vet - my vet was on holiday) and they checked it was 7 - 10 days after mating for the first one and then 2 weeks before due date for the second.

When I asked my vet he gave me the datasheet from the packaging. Eurican Herpes 205. It states: "First injection: Either during heat or 7-10 days after the presumed date of mating. Second injection: 1 to 2 weeks before the expected date of whelping."
So it can be given DURING the season as well.
I understand though that it lasts for a specific number of days. Which is why cover has to be boosted again.
Just looked it up and it is around 60 days.
Close enough to EDD to allow abs to be in the milk for the puppies. Scan at 4 weeks ever hopeful see if I need the next jab. Exciting but nervous times. If she misses will try again in 12 months, due to her annual season! Stupidly didn't blood test, but lesson learnt in petrol costs so far
