Hi I have just had an old girl diagnosed with liver disease and would like anyone with experience or advice to help. Obviously vets want me to feed prescription diet but im against.....I normally feed raw.

Two things, other than changing your girl's diet which I think you should consider,  that might help are Milk Thistle tablets which support the liver and lactulose which I know is used with dogs with liver shunts.  You can buy lactulose at most chemists but add it slowly over a few days as it is also a laxative!! You can find several sites that give you info about both of these.

Also there's a great book called 'Raw and Natural Nutrition for Dogs' by Lew Olssen (sp?), which has chapters specifically for certain conditions/problems, and IIRC liver disease is one of them.
