Could any tell me if they have had problems using this wormer. I gave my 11 week old pup panacur this morning as per instructions/body weight etc. Since then she has been very very restless, not wanting to settle, not taking her morning nap - which she usually does, is whining constantly etc. I would be interested if anyone has had a similar experience or can give advice. The breeder whom I got her from used Panacur. Maybe of course she is just having an "off" day. :(

i just recived the flatcoated retrievers society health committee report for 2001,in it is apage on useful tips, one is worming.
is reads, there seems to be quie a few breeders whose puppies have problems around worming time,if this happens to your puppies ask your vet.for a YELLOW FORM,then any adverse reactions can be reported, if this is not done, drug companies assumeallis OK.

so i learned something out of this,we are very luckly to have a health committee in our breed, and my vet said all breeds should have a commitee to help out breeders with a problem,

Yes, there have been quite a few adverse reactions, mainly in the retriever breeds (esp golden and flatcoat), but the drugs company won't believe us. (Big business, big bucks)

Do e-mail Kim Ellis, who is co-ordinating the problems, at

(e-mail adress with her permission)

I do hope you pup is fine by now
