Hello all,

I am looking for some advice, my bitch is 10 months old, She had her first sseason last month, unfortunately despite my best efforts which had been working my OH thought it would be fine if they were together for two minutes why he hoovered the room my bitch was in. (we hhad been rotating them successfully) anyway he heArd a yelp and they were tied, he was in the dog house but it happened and now he knows anything is possible!

Anyway after contacting the vet we took her in after her season had finished and she had the jabs on the 10th and 11th of March, everything seemed fine her vulva went back to normal my male has shown no interest.

Now as of yesterday I noticed her vulva was swollen again and she is bleeding again? My Vet never mentioned about her coming in tto season straight after but did say her next one can be a month or two early or late next time.

Should I be worried it's a nasty side effect (she seems fine in herself) or should I carry on as if she is in heat and separate again (think my male will go to stay with the inlaws this time)

Thanks in advance

Get your dog off to the in-laws.

It does make them come in early, someone I know..... the bitch came in after 2 weeks, looks like your bitch has too, if her vulva is once again swollen then she's back in season, so take all precautions once again..........Why is it, that whenever I hear of a slip up of human error with bitches in season it is always the husband? Seems hubby's are often just not as careful.

Good luck, this time with your boy away the mistake won't happen again.

P.S She'll go back to her normal season time after this one.

Thank you Carrington.

I think my OH is used to thinking I make mountains out of molehills and thought this wasn't any different.

I pretty sure he was letting her off lead on her walks too, no proof I just know how he is, however I am sure he will much more compliant now he knows the consequences!
