If this was one of my other dogs i wouldn't really worry too much but this dog is never sick.

She was fed on Friday tea time, no problems. Yesterday morning i didn't feed her as we were going to an Agility Show (I don't feed before traveling and then competing), she competed all day and was fine and had 2 normal bowel movements yesterday morning.

She was given her dinner last night about 6pm, she then threw up her dinner on 3 occasions between 7-9pm.

This morning I gave her a small amount of breakfast, again after about an hour she threw it up on 3 occasions.

I was concerned she may have picked up a bug yesterday but my other dog is fine. She is a bit quiet and wanting cuddles a lot but was happy to have a walk this morning and ran about as normal. She is 7 years old and last finished a season 9 weeks ago (Pyo is always a concern in the back of my mind-but she isn't showing any other symptoms) her stomach isn't swollen and doesn't seem tender.

Any advice on what i can give her or any idea might help, if she throws up breakfast tomorrow ill take her to the vets, im just concerned now that she hasn't had food since Friday.

Sorry didn't see this until now -how is she doing? I wouldn't rule out a stomach bug just because the others are fine, some dogs are just more sensitive. As for pyo -a 7 year old bitch who presumably has not had pups I would definitely spay to play safe. My Fame got pyometra without any other obvious symptoms than bleeding a couple of months after her season, but what really proved it (before being scanned) was that she had a temperature -so taking the temperature would be another thing to always do.

She is much better thank you, think it must have been a bug, she has kept her food down yesterday and back to normal today :)

If it was my choice id have her spayed but she is hubbys dog and having had 2 bad experiences with bitches being spayed in his life (with the death of one) he wont even consider it unless it becomes necessary. Its an argument we have had many times but it is ultimately his choice. Taking her temperature if she appears ill is a good point though thank you, we will do that in future if she is ever poorly again.

Glad to hear it. And yes, I can understand why two bad experiences makes your husband wary of spaying -it's the same as my bad experiences of NOT spaying colours my views. Ultimately we all do what we feel is best.
