OK I know it's a non dog related topic! Thoughts on the new Poldark?  I never saw any of the original series so the odd few clips for me just seem outdated. I do like Aiden Turner as an actor and yes very easy on the eye! Loving the scenery, the dark brooding looks and the hidden simmering emotions! Love drama's and so glad the Beeb have re vamped this series! I'm hoping for The Onedin Line to be re launched loved James' sideburns.
So is the new Poldark as good as the old Poldark?

Well.......I was a huge fan of the original series and I am watching the new series also.  IMO , as gorgeous as the 'new' Poldark is, he lacks the 'prescence' of the 'old' one but...we'll give him a bit more time, I think!    Maybe it's because my hormones are no longer working as well as the ones I had when the original series was on? 

OK I'm also young enough to recall the first series ,  just looked up who played Ross, Robin Ellis, obviously a few memory problems but seriously depressed that it was 40 years ago, GFB back then thought 40 was bus pass age !!
Remember watching every episode, even read most of the books but got burn out at around 8, believe there were 13!

I had a date with Pasha from Strictly last night oh ok me, my mom and 100 other people! So I have  not seen last night's Poldark! If it's steamy ooh er still have thoughts of Pasha swirling that red Cape in my mind!
My mom missed the original series but hooked on this one and loves Aiden ' s Poldark.
