Blanket cloud here on the I.O.W. & not much light.
Anyone lucky enough to have clear skies & to see what's going on?

I looked out the window and thought "Hm looks like rain" as it was so dark suddenly, having forgotten all about it -then found hubby outdoors trying to watch through sunglasses. Did get a bit of a glimpse.

It did go quite dull here in b'ham @ 9.25-9.30ish but it wasn't dark enough to need the lights on. After all the build up im afraid it was a bit of a non starter for me but its absolutely glorious outside now, relatively warm in the sunshine.

Similar to me, I had just set off on my bike and was wondering if I had the right gear on as it suddenly went cold and dark. A couple of minutes later I saw a bloke with a camera and then I remembered and looked up.

Because it was slightly cloudy, you could look straight at the sun and get a perfect view. The sun looked like a tiny crescent moon.

Thick cloud here too and nothing to see. Made me want to book myself on another eclipse holiday though, I've seen the total eclipse in Zimbabwe and in Turkey and it is so impressive!
