Topic Dog Boards / General / Dog and house sitting

Hi,

Does anyone know of anyone that house and dog sits ? I'm looking for someone to live in my home and care for my elderly dog whilst I'm on holiday.

I have registered with a company called "Mind my house" but have had few replies, ideally I'm looking for a retired person or someone that works from home so my dog isn't left alone.

She is quite blind now and I like her to be looked after here in her home so she's comfortable with her surroundings.

Thank you

Annee

I know someone who has used these people and were very happy with the service. They have a dog that has been blind from birth and wanted the same care as you while they were away.

I do it, however like most walkers who do it we won't be in your home the whole time.
You need someone who soley does the home boarding/house sitting with no other clients at the same time.
My dogs have been to a home boarder where it was only them, I can dig out the details to see if they do house sitting too?

What area are you in please? I know someone who does this but they are in Kent so could well be too far away from you.

Ooh it's lovely there. Are you looking for someone to stay in your home 24/7?

Hi,

Ideally yes I am...my dog is 14.5 now (American Cocker) and very nearly blind so I don't want to send her to the sitters house as she has a mental map of her home here.

I work from home so she's not used to being left any more than 3 hours on her own, rarely is she ever left on her own.

I will message my friend and ask her if West Sussex is too far for her and get back to you. She has a lot of very satisfied customers and does 24/7 home stays.
