Ooooo, look at the forum all fancy shmancy, and with the long asked for " like " button !, and emoticons !.
- By MamaBas [gb] Date 17.01.15 10:51 UTC
Ever gone with 'if it ain't broke....'?     I HATE change.
- By suejaw Date 17.01.15 11:12 UTC Upvotes 1
Have to say it's a bit different but has the changes I'd like too.
- By Tectona [gb] Date 17.01.15 11:13 UTC

I like it too. It will take a bit of getting used to, but like the extras especially the smilies.:lol:
- By furriefriends Date 17.01.15 14:01 UTC
Well that was a surprise.like theupvote button.now I need to get rid of all the adverts
- By Jodi Date 17.01.15 15:16 UTC
What adverts are those?
I don't have any
- By Freyanodins mum [gb] Date 17.01.15 16:13 UTC
Have had to re-register as I cannot remember my password ...and the email address I used when I first joined champdogs all those many years ago is defunct ::cry:  - so I used to be Lokis mum and am now freyaanodins mum ...........

Now I know I'm becoming pretty old and decrepit - but surely once upon a dream we had all the above emoticoms before - and did we not have a "like" button too - once upon another life???

And as for furriefriends request to remove adverts - just log in - then you lose 'em!
- By Goldmali Date 17.01.15 16:22 UTC Upvotes 1
Ask Admin to change your user name back Margot, should surely be possible? Yes we did use to have smileys but never a Like button -often requested though.
- By Brainless [gb] Date 17.01.15 16:57 UTC Upvotes 1
See now I didn't know what upvote meant ;)
- By dogs a babe Date 17.01.15 17:15 UTC Upvotes 1
I was about to moan at my kids for re setting my computer preferences, colours, fonts etc and then I noticed this thread!  Thanks Celli
- By furriefriends Date 17.01.15 17:47 UTC
I didn't realise it had logged me out now sorted. I have had to turn the brightness down on my screens as it was all rather to little contrats. DAB I thought at first something similar had happened here lol and the upvote confused me to until I realised it was a like button.
- By Celli [gb] Date 17.01.15 18:58 UTC Upvotes 2
I must admit, I wasn't sure about it at first, and then when nobody else had mentioned it, I thought my pad had gone bammy :yell:
- By kahnandkcsmum [gb] Date 17.01.15 19:19 UTC
I thought it was my pc !    reminded me of champdogs when I very 1st joined years ago   do like the like button now
- By kazz Date 17.01.15 23:32 UTC Upvotes 1
That's what I was thinking we used to have smilies. Must admit I thought something had gone wrong my end now think it was the update had to log back in had forgotten my password and had to PM Admin for help.

I like it.

I didn't either Barbara.  I was really pleased, scrolling down to see if we had back the one that I missed.  Often a help when someone is worried that they are the only person awake when their bitch is in labour.  Oh the late hour chats we used to have.

But when I looked it hasn't returned.    Yes, I mean who's online.

How do you see the 'likes' as haven't seen a number or anything?
- By Goldmali Date 18.01.15 10:30 UTC
Barbara I have just clicked upvote on your post so it now says your post has 1 upvote, have  a look.
- By Brainless [gb] Date 18.01.15 10:46 UTC
Ah I get it it's at the top of the reply
- By tatty-ead [gb] Date 18.01.15 12:19 UTC Upvotes 1
One bit I found is that when you do a 'site search' it now gives you part/all of the post not just the title which I don't think it did before the new look
- By MamaBas [gb] Date 19.01.15 10:44 UTC
    A few days in and I'm more au fait with this new look ...... some features I find an improvement (smilies and TUs specifically - once I discovered where to see them!!)

So 'oldies' can adapt

Now I'd just like to be able to find how to start a new thread
- By Tish [gb] Date 19.01.15 11:02 UTC
New post

I think it's the following

Select forum

Category breeding etc

At the top you will see a pic. Of a pencil and post click on post it brings up a blank box with topicetc in it
- By MamaBas [gb] Date 19.01.15 13:27 UTC
Thanks - I seem to remember this now!!:red:
- By ceejay Date 19.01.15 22:20 UTC
I didn't even notice the word upvote - too busy reading the posts!  Bit posh isn't it!  What is wrong with 'like' I wonder.
- By suejaw Date 19.01.15 22:28 UTC
If I click for upvote it then sends me back to the top of the thread rather than back where I was, that's a pain!!
- By Goldmali Date 20.01.15 09:02 UTC
What is wrong with 'like' I wonder.

Maybe that format is owned by Facebook?
- By Nova Date 20.01.15 14:53 UTC Upvotes 1
Agree or approve may have been better, at least recognisable.
- By LJS Date 22.01.15 15:33 UTC
I have just realised we have lost our stars
- By sqwoofle [gb] Date 23.01.15 18:08 UTC
Has anyone else noticed that notifications come up delayed too?

I read a load of replies to my post yesterday (no notifications) - and only today have the notifications appeared at the top of the board.

Yes dogs a babe kindly responded to a post, but notification came through over 24hrs later.

Same here.

I'm not getting ANY notifications at the moment so wondered about that too  - perhaps nobody has added to what I've written!!
- By Brainless [gb] Date 24.01.15 10:35 UTC
I have found you don't se the notifications if like me you use Active Topics, they only show up for me if I go to Board index (which I'd never normally do, unless I wanted to post a new topic).
- By MamaBas [gb] Date 24.01.15 17:04 UTC Upvotes 1
:red:   Ooooh.   I wish I'd not looked!!!    There are tons there and you are right, I always come here via Active Topics!!
- By JeanSW Date 25.01.15 00:36 UTC

> I always come here via Active Topics!!

Me too!  So I just had a look at Board Index.  If Barbara had not mentioned it I probably would just have assumed that I had no notifications.  :red:  Obviously I'm not very internet savvy!
