They have African wild dogs in Edinburgh Zoo. I saw them a few months ago & they had a young pup who was very naughty and kept getting out of the den and running off to the other end of the enclosure, watching the adults communicate with each other to get him back to the den was fascinating :)

African Wild dogs are at Chester & Knowsley Safari park too :)

the dhole and african wild dogs are also at west midlands safari. the dhole just looks like a fox with a more browny coat than red and somehow...far more handsome. i love seeing them when i go. the wild dogs tend to either hide or pee on your car...

I prefer wild dog types to wolves

Their conformation is interesting both the Dholes and the African ones have quite shallow chests with little sternum/forechest.  Cathedral fronted.

Also the wolves and wild dogs are all pretty narrow through and close in front.

Also no neat feet.
