I have now broken one of my dc04 and dyson no longer offer servicing wef from dec 2014, typical.
I have decided I cant really afford more than about £100 and for that I can get a reconditioned dyson dc14 animal or a vax pet. Would prefer bagless .
does anyone have any experience of either. the dc14 has a new motor but the most up to date version the dc41 seems to be getting better reviews |I have no experience of vax hoovers and don't want to make amistake as it is rather anecesary item in ahouse with three dogs and two cats including a hairy gsd !

I've got a DC14 which we got not long after Tara when it became obvious I needed a good hoover for her prolific hair :) :) That was about 12 years ago and apart from a new motor about 2 years ago (Dyson came out and serviced it), I have had no problems with it at all :) :) I have a large house and we have been renovating the house for the last 6 1/2 years and it has coped with continual dust as well (although OH is supposed to use his wet/dry to remove rubble !!)

I've had the DC14 all floors since new when it first came out, so a long time.  Still going strong picking up after 6 double coated moulting Elkhounds that fill the bin just by going round the kitchen!!!

Funny enough, my DC04 died recently. I hummmed and haaaed over what to get next, but went back to a Dyson again. Bought the Dc41 which was the first time I had used a roller ball one. Now I've got used to it I'm finding it marvellous gets the did hair up and out of the carpets very well. Will see how good it is when she's moulting.

Think i am staying with dyson but will have to be older one due to lack of money
I can get a recon dc14 one year guarantee and a new motor for £100 so will go for that thank upu people

I thought there were some great offers on out there for brand new Dysons in the new year sales?

not for £100 , they sound great but none under £200 as far as I can see even with a trade in

It's not got a big dust bin but comes up class A in efficiency for carpet hard floors an power consumption.

Can't say how it works as they haven't used it yet as not moved into their house yet as still renovating.
