Can anyone advise me, I have a new puppy and the breeder said that he was registering her with the kennel club, how long should I wait for any contact or paperwork before I start asking questions of the breeder. I am sure that he is doing everything he said he would but I have never had a KC dog before.

You should really have had the registration certificate when you collected the puppy. It normally only takes about a week for  breeder to get registrations through from the KC and it should certainly be done BEFORE pups are sold. Even if the breeder for some odd reason didn't do it until the day the pups were sold, I would not give it more than a week.

If the pup was advertised as being KC reg and you can save the ad, that could be useful at some point!
