As far as the kennel club is concerned there is no endorsements on the litter once I have shown evidence off possesion off the dogs at time off registering.the new dog owners themselves can place endorsements on the dogs so that if they were to sell the dogs the progency would not be eligible as long as the owner explains and signs contracts with the buyers if they were to sell.i trust the people I have sold the dogs to do the responsible thing as I think they are responsible people or I wouldn't off let them take a dog.alls I can do is try an make he best off a bad situation.

Been following this thread with interest....but becoming increasingly difficult to make head nor tail of the situation.

Basically the kc can remove the endorsements placed on the litter because they didn't comply with the rules off placing them.the new owners (purchasers) have ownership over the dog now as they have registered the pets in there name.can place an endorsement back on the dog if they wished to do so and in the event off them selling the dog the new buyer would be buying them with endorsements in place provided they are brought to the attention off the new buyer

Have you kept one of the pups? If so, then you will have one pup with the endorsements removed.  Do you show?  How necessary is it for you bitch to be kc registered in your name?  Were you planning another litter from her?

Yes there is a few possibiltiies still unsure what to do am going to have a walk and a think..originally we just wanted to do the one litter as some family members and friends have asked for a while for a pup and these intentions was made clear to the breeder who was going to provide the stud which choose not to in the end.we loved the whole experience and have been bitten by the bug I think.we made some mistakes on or first attempt and have gained some experience and would love to do it again.

Obviously we don't know what breed this is, but if you wanted to write this whole nightmare off to experience, and start again with another bitch, I am sure the members here will be able to guide you appropriately and help you find the RIGHT breeder :)

Thanks for your comments there much appreciated.its just that I had my hopes up for some years regards breeding her and she got fantastic hip scores and a lot off effort has gone into her for it all to be wrote off.and I don't know if Iv got the time,money,space for another bitch.its put a sour twist on everything.its all got me quite deppressed as I love my pets.i think i need to do a bit off contemplating before making my next move.its also put my other half off as she also put a lot off trust into what the breeder said as we thought he had ours and the dogs interest at haert.

It IS the sort of thing that happens to good breeders though -you have a nice bitch that then for one reason or another cannot be bred from, and you have to start over. You spend a fortune travelling all over the country showing her and then when she has done well enough, hip score and eye test and whatever else is relevant for the breed, only to have something else go wrong.  You haven't built up your own line and unless this is an exceptional bitch winning CCs or doing really well in some practical work, I would definitely say your best option is to go and buy another bitch if you are serious about the whole dog game.

I spent years researching my breed.   Found an amazing bitch from a breeder willing to mentor me.

We showed her and she was always in the first three or four.   Took her first CC with BOB at her second Ch show!  We made her up to Champion and two of the CCs came with BOB too.   Temperament was amazing.

Her health tests came back perfect.

Found an excellent stud dog,  the pups were lovely,  very even litter and the bitch was the most wonderful mum.   We kept the only bitch pup to show.

But she went down with mastitis after the pups were weaned,  two of her teats were malformed,  she had ilk in them but it wouldn't come out.   Sorted with antibiotics.

Next time we wanted to breed her,  as she came into season,  one of these mammaries started up with a lump,  which got bigger  as her season approached.   We ended up speying and having the lump removed -  no second litter from an excellent bitch.

Sometimes breeding doesn't go to plan.   Sometimes it costs an arm and a leg and you're lucky to have a speyed bitch at the end of it and no pups -  scroll down to see my post here

Let us know how you get on. I'm all for endorsements and have used them on my litter but this is taking the mickey and it's not the first time I've heard them used to make more money for the breeder while changing the goal posts.
