Topic Dog Boards / Behaviour / Very impressed with the Canny Collar :-)

Thanks for all the advice on my previous thread regarding headcollars.

My canny collar arrived and I have to say I am VERY impressed. No more pulling towards other dogs, I went to a dog show this weekend and didn't have a sore hand from all the pulling - horray!

Unlike the halti that I tried, the canny does NOT pull up into the eyes.

I would like to have tried the dogmatic but the design is so similar to the halti I fear I will be wasting my money on another product that rubs the eye.

So for me that's settled then, canny collar gets my vote!

Worth knowing.  :-)

Thanks for posting as many people looking for help/advice are not members.  It is a place that people come to for other peoples' experience.

Just to say I use the dogmatic head collars and find them fantastic. They do not ride up into the eyes and offer much greater control. I have two girls who walk beautifully when the other one is not present BUT put the two together and they would "fight" to get their noses ahead of eachother.

The dogmatic stopped all of that silliness, and now after purchasing one for all the dogs I can walk the whole pack using just one hand if necessary. (I still like to hold my not so little daughters hand when crossing roads etc..)
