Merlin my 8 month old pup & I went to our Club Championship Show - Started well with him winning MPD - was pleased with that and would have been happy with him at that point. but Merlin wasn't finished! We went in for the dog challenge - judge pulls out Open dog for the CC then turns to us - thinking I had won BPD I took the card and rosette looked down and it was only the RCC - gobsmacked doesn't describe how I felt,  - We then had a wait until BPIB (Mittel) again he showed his socks off for me and we took BPIB . We then go up against the BPIB (Klein) and he only goes and takes BEST PUPPY IN SHOW, I'm over the moon :)

Woo hoo what a fabby day! Must be fun up there on cloud 9 :-D :-D

I'd say that was worthy of a pretty major brag - many congratulations on a super day :)

Was gifted a bottle of bubbly for my birthday said to my hubby if we ever won a RCC/CC I would open it - thinking it would be dusty in a cupboard for years lol - it was very nice :)

Very nice! I remember saying to my hubby he'd have to come and help if any of our dogs ever qualified for Crufts - then won a CC with the first one at 14 months haha! Tightening in front will come with maturity and just a little trotting out on roads. :-)

Don't let it knock you off your cloud if you don't do well at your local open, a lot of the time the judges are all rounders and may not have in-depth knowledge of your breed. This happened to us a few weeks ago when I won the Bitch CC, Best opposite sex and RBIS at our Club Champ show. My first ever CC (not even had a reserve!) with my first ever homebred bitch of this breed. To say you could have knocked me down with a feather was an understatement when I was handed that ticket, it was a good job my partner was with me as I would never have been able to safely drive 3 1/2 hours home!!! Next day we went to an Open show and got 2 out of 2!!!

Just you stay on your cloud for as long as you can, it is a wonderful feeling and you should enjoy it :) :)

Haha I think we got 3rd out of 4 at our first open show after Henry got his ticket. :-p

Well we got 2nd out of 3 at the open show - but since he won Best Puppy in Breed at BUBA & today took Best Puppy in Breed at LKA - making him Top Puppy 2014 :D :D Over the moon :D
