Can anyone shed any light on this event please? I have googled and googled but not found any helpful information.

What sort of things/events happen? Entry costs etc? I am interested in having a day out but would need more info if hubby is going to want to come. Is it like the newark county show by any chance?

Any help would be great :)

http://www.fossedata.co.uk/show_schedules/schedule.aspx?id=MCOU_OCT_14

It's a dog show.    The show shedules will tell you what breeds are on which day.   The Schedule will also tell you if/what other competitions may be taking place.

The summary of  entries will tell you how many of each breed are entered,  order of judging will tell you,  um,  the order of judging :-D

There will likely be stalls to look at,  selling anything and everything to do with dogs,  including human outdoor wear,  and there  should be some food stalls,  but no guarantees  of which stalls,  so you may want to take sarnies.

Entry fees vary with the show,   sorry,  never been to a dog show and not been entered,  so no idea of how much just to go look.    Might be worth ringing the show secretary if no-one here knows  ;-)

If you want to see German Shepherds,  go on the day they are scheduled ;-)    Sorry,  looks like there aren't any classes for German Shepherds,  but maybe a few in AVNSC??

It isn't like eg.  The LKA show at NEC which is at the same venue as Crufts,  and being just before Christmas,  can have  loads of stalls

This may also help

http://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/activities/dog-showing/new-to-dog-showing/

Remember though,  you won't be able to take your own dog into the show,  unless it's been entered for competition,  or at some shows,  not for competition ;-)

Just googled Newark County show.

No,  I wouldn't say that any Ch Dog Show is like the Newark County Show.    For a start,  it won't have all the different 'Attractions'   ;-)

Midland Counties is only a dog show; a certain amount of stalls but predominantly dogs being exhibited and judged. All indoors - and no other  attractions or entertainments.

I don't think they charge for getting in at Stafford, though there may be a charge for parking, though have never seen money being taken (but then have always had passes for showing the dogs).

So the only thing you need to check is which breeds are on which day.

Thank you. I think I would find it interesting but hubby might struggle. Will need to think about it.

At that venue they have some nice refreshment places and bars???

Also be aware you can't take your dog with you unless it's entered in the show, plus there is no entry fee for the public at this venue.

Tnanks barbara, will keep that in mind. Might hedge my bets and think he's more likely to want to do discover dogs again!

Well you'd see more dogs than at discover dogs of the breeds on any particular day.  A pet owning poster on here I invited to this show about two years ago, to come along and she enjoyed her day.

Yes, thats exactly what I'm interested in but think oh will get bored. Need to think about it now and possibly cook a very nice dinner with plenty of butter ;)
