I am going to Munich on Friday to visit a family who I used to teach English to. I want to take the girls a magazine each. The youngest is 7 and I've a granddaughter that age so I know what to get. Please can anyone suggest ones that are easily available for the older two. I don't want stuff with make up boyfriends etc. Thanks for your help.

pet magazine? there seem to be a few aimed at older children/young teens

In the uk I haven't seen any magazines for teenage girls that aren't all "boys,  fashion and makeup"   :-(      heaven help the children who want to read about other things :-(

What about craft or art magazines?

Thanks all. It wasn't pet ones. Just general interest. Anyway I am in Munich now and I found a couple in Heathrow this morning that didn't have pictures of naked torsos and I showed their mum before I gave them. I just remember when I was that age there seemed to be less ' girlie ' ones.
