Sadly i have a recent post in rainbow bridge (again) and i am just looking for anyones experiences with either bloat and / or vetergesic in their dogs as i have had a very sad outcome and just wondered if this drug is particularly unsafe or if i have been just very very unlucky.....again.
Heartbroken right now so would appreciate anyones thoughts on the whole ordeal?
Thank you

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss.

I have used vetergesic in my own dog; he had a bad reaction to it but nevertheless it saved his life. I know several other people who've used it, and they've reported that it's worked wonders.

Had to use it several times and have had no problems.  Sorry for your loss xx

Once after surgery for anal gland removal, and once for a severe gastroenteritis.  Henry doesn't seem to get too sedated with it but he is the same with tramadol (which I know affects some dogs)
